In order to fix the issue, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Locate the webcam device, right-click on its driver, select Uninstall and follow the instructions. After that, restart the computer, download the webcam driver from the official web page, and go to Device Manager. Right-click on your camera and press Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the installation package, select the driver and install it following the self explained steps. If it doesn't work, run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Go to Start > Control Panel and type troubleshooter in the Search box. Open the Troubleshooting application, select Hardware and Sound, press Hardware and Devices, click Next and follow the provided instructions.

If I open AveoCap I can't do anything. Every time it comes with this error "You have no video capture device". Can somebody help me?

You need to check if the capture driver is installed for the device you're using to capture the stream. Go to Device Manager and check for the driver's installation. If you encounter an item with a yellow sign it means that you will need to install its corresponding driver. Once you complete this, the application will work normally and the device will be detected as it should.

A computer restart is recommended after the driver installation.

Recently I purchased an Averatec Notebook model 2500 that came with Windows Vista and AveoCap version 1.0 pre-installed. When using AveoCap I am able to save to the hard drive snapshots to the file location that I specify. However, I cannot get the system to save a video. I have no documentation for the program and the help file shows nothing more than the version number. What can I do?

In order to record a video with your device, you need to select Start Capture from the Capture menu:

Also, the recording process should start if you press the S key from your keyboard. If you have problems, I recommend you use other capturing tools from Software Informer database.
